Chapter 88. Injured
Kael’s POV
My hand tightened around his throat. In one swift motion, I yanked him off balance, and his body slammed down the stairs.
He coughed loudly as he curled into a ball on the floor. I walked slowly to where he was, “Stupid of you to think you can escape,” I said with a scoff.
“Release the rest of the guards,” I said to Marcus through the mind link.
Instantly, the three guards were dragged out of the dungeon. Watching the traitor trying to stand, I used my thick boots to hit him hard on his belly.
“P…please…” he stuttered as he held his stomach, coughing out blood.
I raised a brow before I strode to where the chair was and sat on it, my gaze caught sight of my bleeding wrist. The bastard’s audacity was crazy.
“Bring him closer,” I said without looking up.
Marcus yanked him up by his collar until he fell on his knees right beside my feet. “So tell me, who sent you?” I asked, my voice low and heavy.
