Kael’s POV
As the door clicked shut behind me, the corners of my lips fell as warmth drained from my features, replaced by the familiar coldness.
I glanced at Marcus briefly before walking ahead.
The guard and maid chorused greetings on our way, while I responded with a curt nod.
I pushed the door to the study room, sauntering inside, I took a seat, and Marcus sat across me with a picture placed on the table. “I found this,” he said, sliding the picture across the table, letting it come to a stop right beside my hand.
My eyes narrowed, staring at the picture of a man whose hand had the mark I had been searching for. “Have you captured him?” I asked.
He nodded. “I have, but he seemed like he was not going to say a word,” Marcus said, making me raise a brow.
“Let’s go,” I murmured, already on my feet. We walked down the corridor where the door to the underground dungeon was.
