Chapter 6. To Save His Father?
Devon’s POV
My breath caught in my throat as her lips crashed against mine. I could feel the heat of her skin, the touch of her fingers on my shirt. I wanted to resist, to push her away, but I knew I couldn't. I had to do this. I felt her grip on my shirt tighten as we kissed, and I could feel my resolve wavering. What was I doing? The kiss deepened, and I closed my eyes, trying to block out my wolf.
She began unbuttoning my shirt, and I felt my resistance falter. I knew I should stop her, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. And then my wolf took over me and pushed her aside, slightly.
"Sara, not now," I said, my voice barely a whisper. "I'm tired." She rolled her eyes.
"That's what you always say these days," she said, sounding irritated. "You hardly have any time for me anymore."
