Chapter 68. The Dungeon

Devon’s POV

Knowing she was pregnant, although that wasn’t my aim when we did what we did that night, I was extremely happy. I knew Bella still had some lingering hatred toward me because of what I did to her three years ago but I thought the presence of the pregnancy would have changed that.

I thought she would be ready to give me a chance because of the baby in her belly but it was obvious the hatred only increased. It was like she was blaming me for what happened and truth be told, I blamed myself many times too.

I knew it was her, I knew she wasn’t there to meet me, I also knew she had no idea it was me but I still went ahead to do it and my conscience kept breaking since then. I knew what I did was wrong, I shouldn’t have taken advantage of her ignorance and instead of doing that to her, I should have brought her home instead.
