Chapter 31
Time works just like a string, it knots, unravels, and knots again. Where the knots come undone, there are divergences of paths that cause disasters, like a butterfly effect that alters events with a simple flap of its wings. Elizabeth was thinking all of this while lying on her cabin bed, not moving to avoid getting dizzy. She had just discovered that she wasn't exactly a fan of traveling by water. She had lost count of how many times nausea had risen in her throat, and they hadn't even departed yet.
"Damn it," she thought, closing her eyes.
The sound of the door opening made her turn her head, causing a new wave of nausea. Definitely, this wouldn't be the most comfortable journey she had ever taken. Objectively, she knew she was exaggerating, she just had to find some motion sickness pills, and the problem would be solved. However, on the other hand, she had an absolute conviction that if she got up, she would end up vomiting everywhere.
