The lush jungle rose before them, welcoming them to a definitive death. Elizabeth swallowed hard; the trees were tall enough to cover them, and the density of the bushes could easily lose them if they were not cautious. She prayed that there were no wild animals or, if there were, that they weren't too hungry.
