They decided to wait for a while to see if their friends returned, but as hours passed, there was no sign of their presence. The sun had already set on the horizon by the time they began to worry; they had no idea where their friends could be, but none of them would sit still and do nothing to find them.
"Let's wait a bit longer. If there's no sign of them in the next hour, we'll go out to look for them," Julian said, taking Elizabeth's hand and gently caressing it to calm both of them. He was also worried about Tobias and Regina, but he had to stay calm to avoid unnecessary panic for the girls.
They came to the conclusion that if their friends didn't arrive after some time, they would go investigate on their own. Minutes passed, and with them, Elizabeth's anxiety continued to grow. Finally, she couldn't bear it any longer and grabbed a coat, determined to find out what had happened to her friends.
