Chapter 78. It's Not True
“I really don't want to leave you alone,” Aaron murmured against my lips as he caressed my cheekbone.
I ran a hand through the back of his head and whispered, “It's fine. It's just two days.”
“Still–” I paused him with a light peck on his lips.
“You need to go.” I backed away from him, feeling bittersweet that he had to go to Georgia for a business meeting. But work was important, and I had vowed to be an understanding wife. “I'll see you when you get back.”
Aaron sighed in defeat, a longing look in his eyes. “Okay, take care. Call me if you feel sick again, or you know what? I'll call Sara to take care of you.” Just as he fished out his phone from his suit pocket, I snatched it out of his grasp.
