Chapter 77. Everything with You

Just one sentence from Aaron was enough to stop my spiralling thoughts. However, that didn't help me from thinking that I must have heard him wrong.

“What did you just say?” I asked for confirmation, looking up at him.

Aaron smiled and caressed his thumb over my knuckles, loosening his earlier grip on my fingers. “I would like to have kids with you,” he said, his voice soft and gentle.

I gasped lightly and put my free hand over my mouth, feeling the tears descend down my cheeks. “You're not saying that just to make me happy, right?”

“I will do anything to make you happy, but this isn't just about you. A child deserves to have both of its parents want it, no? As much as you want a child, so do I.”

“You aren't lying, are you?”

“Does it feel like I am?” he asked sincerely, and I shook my head. He pulled his chair to my side, coming closer to me as he took both of my hands in his.
