Chapter 118. Just Thank You

I didn’t say anything. How do I tell my girlfriend that she’s wrong and that my ex-wife knew me better than her? It’s a world war waiting to happen and I won’t subject myself to that kind of torture.
“Let’s keep it. It will look good on the masters’ bedroom,” she said and placed it back inside the box.
I kept quiet then. Something feels off. Of all the places, she even chose to place it in our bedroom. Where she can see it every time of the day. Where it’s gonna be there when we make love. It felt… wrong. But I didn’t want to question her anymore. It’s what she said. Whatever she said is the law between us.
“I’ll take it to our room then. I also need to change clothes.”
She nodded but didn’t turn her head. She was adjusting the heat of the oven.
I got to our room and placed the lamp on the side of the bed. I adjusted its light first, just not too faint and not too bright as well. It has to be just enough.
