I got quiet. Just the thought that they really wanted me out of their lives that they’re willing to make me look insignificant and also affect Ashlene is unspeakable. Sure, they’re crazy rich. They’re one of those people who can buy an estate or something of luxury with just a blink of an eye, but still… that doesn’t justify the means they do to get that end.
Above all, hurting me and Ashlene for social status and image just doesn’t feel right. It felt wrong on all aspects.
My thoughts were disturbed by the smell of pepperoni and bell pepper. When I turned to my friends, they had already opened the pizza brought by Miggy.
“Dylan, here. It tastes amazing.” Miggy gave me a slice on a saucer.
It did taste amazing.
“So, is there anything else?” I asked Nicho. He’s on his third bottle of beer now. Always the most alcoholic.
“None. That’s it… but their meetings were frequent. It only stopped when the annulment has been finalized,” Nicho said
