Mariana and he seemed to stare at each other for eternity as if they were measuring their strength, and then, with a nod of the head, Constantino finally left us alone.
"What do you think? " I asked, feeling very tense.
I preferred not to say clearly what I was thinking because there were other people around us, and maybe they could hear what we were saying.

"So, do you remember him from that night? " Murilo asked, surprised. "It was a little dark, but if you still managed to identify him, he might remember you too.”

"And to think that the other snakes haven't even struck yet " I commented, sighing "I hope they contain themselves until the end of this party.”
