The mere sight of Christina Ortega never failed to ignite my anger, and I clenched and unclenched my fists with frustration, growing even more annoyed with the smile she had on her face.
"How long has it been since you last saw each other? I thought it would be a good idea for you two to meet again. Christina mentioned she hadn't seen you in a while and wanted to tag along to say hello. You know I can't refuse my daughters when they want something," Angelo explained, and I mentally rolled my eyes.
I didn't blame Angelo for bringing Christina along, as he had no knowledge of what had transpired between us and my intense dislike for his daughter. The person I held accountable was Christina herself. She knew perfectly well that I wanted nothing to do with her, yet she insisted on joining her father, deliberately trying to provoke me.
