"So, neither of you is going to provide an explanation for what's happening here?" Nelly asked, clearly frustrated, and I let out a sigh.

"For the umpteenth time, Nelly, I don't know what's going on either. I've been curious since last night, but she's not talking to me," I reiterated once again.

Since our encounter with Daniel last night, Nina has been silent, not only towards me but also towards Nelly when she returned home earlier this morning. Nelly found her behavior perplexing and kept probing me for answers about what transpired between us. I explained that I had no clue about Nina's sudden change and how she seemed to have reverted to her default grumpy state after meeting Daniel.

"So, I decide to have one night of fun, just one night out, and just like that, little miss grumpy returns to her default setting? How ridiculous!" Nelly hissed, fixing a disapproving gaze on both of us.
