Chapter 31. Disgust and Relief
Liam's POV
He knew his time was up, and there was no point in lying. With a sigh and resigned face, he spoke. “I called my boys, Ben and Sam. They are cops. They both owed me a couple of grand on the table. So they agreed to cover things for me, and I will forget their debt.”
Bunch of useless men.
“Heard enough?” I asked Blake on the phone.
“Yes, I’m on my way to the hospital. Meet me there,” she answered before hanging up.
My work was done.

Blake’s POV
Robert called as soon as I had dismissed the legal team. He might be retired but he is well aware of every single thing that goes on in the walls of this company.
It was not surprising that word had gotten to him that fast. And I knew for a fact that he would not agree with my decision.
“What in the world is wrong with you?” he yelled as soon as I picked up.
