Chapter 26. Twinkling

"Don't act so innocent you're free because of BetaChristopher." Romeo clucked, but his hand kept stroking Rena's cheek. "Besides, I prefer Gania as my mate instead of you."

Rena choked. She was just compared.

"I know more about the origins of Gania's family than yours. Second, she is a woman who can understand my condition, and third...." Romeo tucked a strand of hair on Rena's forehead. "She's more attractive than you."

The more I couldn't understand what Rena had just heard. Romeo, her mate, talks to and compares her with other women who never even existed in their world. Gania is a new woman. Only a few months into Romeo's life as well as herself, but why is the man so sure of what has been said as if the two of them have known for a long time.
