Chapter 127. We Have No Future

Liana’s POV

I woke up feeling tired, drained and empty. My entire body felt sore and there was a discomfort in my stomach. My brain became foggy as I tried to remember what happened to me, that was when the smell of antiseptic hit me.

The Hospital? How come I’m here?

Everything began to come back to me bit by bit. Lena trying to convince me not to leave yet, Me getting into the bus, and the accident.

“No,” I whimpered as my hands automatically went to my stomach.

“Liana, are you awake?” a familiar voice said beside me and I felt a strong, rough hand held mine.

My eyes fluttered open and immediately landed on Ian. He was hovering over me and his eyes were filled with worry. His face looked rugged and his eyes were swollen as if he didn’t get enough sleep.

A smile suddenly spread across his face. “You’re really awake.” Tears gathered in his eyes and he quickly blinked them back. “I’ll get the doctor.” He let go of my hand.

“Ian.”
