Chapter 4. Dare and Daddy

Adeline's POV

Luciano’s words roamed in my mind. He had my mind occupied, and I couldn’t seem to focus on anything else. Currently, I was sitting in the backseat of his car, next to him, on our way back home.

I let out a soft sigh and looked at my hands in my lap, and from the corner of my eyes, I watched him. His hand was resting on his thigh, and my cheeks flushed thinking of where those fingers were last night.

I closed my eyes and squeezed my thighs, still feeling the tingles in between my thighs, and it made me imagine all the dirty things he’d do to me with just those fingers.

Soon, the car ride came to a stop, and soon, my side of the door was opened. I stepped out, and my eyes fell on the person walking towards us.

Christian Russo, Luciano’s best friend and his manager, a man who stays with him 24/7. He looked at me as I blinked nervously before stepping aside.

I was not a social person and was not good with people of the opposite gender. I always felt so intimidated and shy whenever I was around men, but my feelings for Luciano were something else, something I was also not deeply aware of, but I knew one thing for sure: I loved him.

I turned back to look at Luciano, only to jump as he stood right behind me as if waiting for me to walk.

I looked up at him and stepped aside before quickly walking inside. I could hear the faint murmurs coming from the living room, which indicated everyone was present in there.

My heart started pounding as suddenly, I felt scared. I knew everyone was gonna be mad, but there was one person I specifically did not want to see.

As soon as I stepped into the view, the noises died down as everyone turned their attention towards me and before I could even proceed.

“Adeline! Why did you disappear-?”

I gasped as I noticed my mother rushing towards me. I stepped back and bumped into... Luciano. I quickly turned, holding his arm and hiding behind him.

My mother stopped midway. No one behaved out of place in front of Luciano, and that’s what kept everyone in place. His fear.

“Adeline.

Sweetie, why did you run away?”

I looked at Isabella nervously. She was Luciano’s sister, two years younger than him, and just a peaceful person in my life, like a friend.

“I-i wanted to be alone-”

I let go of Luciano’s arm and backed away.

“I'll be in my room”

Without saying or listening to anything, I rushed towards the stairs and upstairs to my room. I wanted to be alone.

The word made me clench my thighs together as I looked at my friends, who were my family.

Rose, one of my childhood friends and Luciano’s niece, spoke, making me look at her in disbelief.

She cut me off and raised her eyebrows, teasing me, but on the name of secrets, my heart stopped. My heart is pounding in my chest like a drum. My cheeks started turning red as Aurora looked at me wide-eyed.

I raised my voice, declaring that I was in for the game, making them giggle.

We sat down on the floor of my room, in a circle. Rose placed an empty bottle in the Centre and placed a bottle of vodka nearby. It was always the game” TRUTH AND DARE”.

The four of us would always play this game whenever any of us felt so down. A sigh escaped my lips as Kiara started the game by rotating the bottle.

Our eyes fixed as the bottle rolled, then stopped on... Rose.

Her eyes widened as she rolled her eyes.

She played it cool as Aurora smirked before rubbing her palms together. Clearly looking so evil.

The question made my eyes widen as my head shot up to look at Aurora. Yes.

That’s exactly why I hate these games. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t want to tell anyone what I do behind my room’s door.

Rose answered, her face turning red slightly as Kiara made a disgusting face.

I tried to warn them not to give me anything absurd, when suddenly Aurora said something that made me... widen my eyes.

After they had left, I was staring at the bottle of vodka in my room on the floor. It was half empty. My mind was once again crashed by the words of Luciano Morelli that” forget about last night. Nothing happened”
