“The baby lived. That was what Louise told me.” She spun around to look at me. “But I have never met him.” She shrugged, her bottom lip trembling with emotion. “Louise wouldn't let me see him.”
I frowned, “How can she stop you from meeting your own brother?”
She exhaled now, “My mother went into labor and died on Prom night.” She grimaced, her brows knotting and her lips tightening around the edges. “I had just escaped Samantha and her minions when I ran into my aunt. I met her for the first time that day, and she was the person who broke the news to me.”
Watching her say all this, I felt a little dizzy.
