I saw it in the huge bonfire leaping into the sky, visible from miles away, in the leather-clad people dotting the open field like bat flowers for as far as the eyes could see.
Even the security at the checkpoint were clad in leather, silver studs gleaming every way they turned. They verified Colt's patch, and granted us access and Axel’s car right behind us.
I tightened my arm around Colt as his bike shot forward, barreling up the block pavement that split up the field either side of us. The wind beat against my helmet when I peeked from behind him to see the main stage where a band was performing rock music.
There was a sizable group by the glass stage, jumping and screaming with the music, but even more people were milling about.
