Chapter 213. Dearest Molly
They looked just like statues, like clay soldiers with their guns hanging from their knees. But at the snap of a finger, they would move into action, quick and efficient.
The sound of a car drew me out of my thoughts, and I stared into my phone screen at the footage from the drone we had hovering overhead.
Louise’s car was now pulling up towards her mansion. I waited for the car to stall, the tires bursting with a loud bang from the spikes we had buried on the road, and then I stepped out.
I walked past her guards as the dogs subdued them and stopped by her backseat window. Balling my gloved hand into a fist, I punched the glass twice and reached in to pull the door open.
Louise was already turning in the backseat to run when I grabbed her by the hair, and hit her face against the demarcation glass.
Then I relaxed against the seat, waiting till she was done
