Chapter 25. Dean Is Gay
The light rain slid down in rivulets down my window, and beat all the spots around the ragged man.
I inhaled, listening to my driver shuffling the items in the trunk, and finally he appeared in sight, hurrying towards the man.
The man looked up, his eyes wide with surprise at the sight of all the food and blankets.
He spotted my car, but I was certain he could not see past the tinted glasses.
He stood up and hurried into the rain anyway, something he never did.
He leaned into the window, pressing his palms together, a plea for me to wind down.
I sighed and pressed the control beside me.
It was not like he would recognize me anyway.
“Thank you, Madame, thank you,” the man said.
I stared in his eyes, waiting, maybe, just maybe he would recognize me.
