“Before you say it,” Axel said now, “doing anything at this moment would draw real attention to us. The gun's in some concrete, the warehouse raced to the ground. We should be fine.” 

“SHOULD.” Sean said bitingly from behind me. “This wouldn’t be a problem if you both had just listened and cremated the corpse.”

“Well now, I wasn’t the one who lost his shit at the sight of his ex, and shot her boyfriend in the head.” Axel shrugged in that troublemaker way that was only natural to him.

“You shit.” Sean charged forward, but I flew up, standing in front of him with wide eyes.
