Ava’s POV

“Or rather what are you going to do when Max finds out that you kept his baby from him?”

His words landed on me like a dump truckload of bricks, weighing in on my chest. I clutched my bag and looked down. “He won’t find out. Unless someone tells him and I’m trusting you won’t tell him.”

He nodded before he smiled at me. “Trust me, I’m on your side.”

My brain was warned not to trust another Anderson but something in Mason’s eyes told me that he was sincere and could be trusted. Mason has been nothing but nice and supportive of me since we met. He had nothing to gain from me by pretending to care about me and his brother’s child.

After I finished my food, Mason insisted that I go home instead of going back to the complex. When I tried to argue that I still had some work left because of the new fashion line that we would be launching soon.
