Chapter 19. I’m a Complete Man
Ava’s POV
Mason didn’t tell me why he left home and I didn’t push further either but I could see the loneliness in his eyes.
No matter how he tried to tell himself that he was okay and forced himself to be happy, I knew he wasn’t and that gave me a lot of concerns.
He has helped a lot this past month and the least I could do is return the favor. I needed to make him feel that he was not alone and that he had someone by his side. Someone who cares for him.
Which was pretty much how I’d ended up on his couch that Sunday evening, laughing as he scowled at the TV.
“A romance movie, Ava? Seriously.”
I folded my arms, attempting to adopt a casual pose as if his scowl didn’t bother me. “Yes, Mason. You require some romance in your life.”
“You expect me to sit through this excuse of a movie? This is torture.” He ran his fingers through his hair. “I mean, what crime did I commit to deserve this kind of torture?”
I sat alongside him bent
