Chapter 49. Eve Is Getting Hurt
The driver stared in astonishment at his master's words.
"What do you mean, sir? Why can't I tell Miss Eve?" the driver repeated.
Allan took a deep breath and let it out, while looking at the driver a little annoyed. 'Can't he just obey me without asking?" he thought to himself.
"I mean, don't tell Eve that I'm here, I don't want her to be distracted from her work by me being here. Just buy some coffee and bread for me from the shop. And buy one for yourself too. Oh yeah, here's the money!" exclaimed Allan handing over a few hundred dollar bills.
"Okay, sir, but this is a lot of money! I'll give it back, sir!" said the driver, about to return the money to his employer.
"No need! Take it, or tip Eve is fine with me! But don't tell her I'm here!" warned Allan again.
"So what should I say, sir, if Miss Eve asks?" asked the driver in confusion.
"As you wish! Anything! You think of your own reasons!" exclaimed Allan looking increasingly annoyed.<
