My eyes clouded at that reply of his. Taking all the blame… was just too much.

Unable to hold back anymore, I hugged him tightly, pressing myself into the warm solidness of his body. My cheek rested against his chest. His heart was beating very fast. I shut my eyes and breathed him in.
