Chapter 104. Cruel, Stoic, and Unaffectionate
‘Oh, God! Is he really dead?’

These are the kind of words flying past my ears. There are more, actually. More of the people’s cries and lamentations. But I shut my hearing to them all as quick as I walk out of the hospital building and make for the car.
I hear Zeath board the back seat. Then Zachili sits in the driver’s seat next to me and gets the car on the road.
When I heard the new of Christopher’s death, I felt blank from inside. But now, all the emotions flood in, and I suddenly break down again.
