Chapter 48. Another Dare

Another dare…

Now I understand what those words mean.

I had just confessed my feelings for Tara before she said that. She was giving me a hint of who she was and I didn’t grab.

How foolish of me.

I quickly recover myself and step in front of the group. And while the bodyguards attempt to shove me out of the way, Mellow raises her hand as a sign to leave me.

My stare remain on her as she steps past Christopher to me, her eyes still daring, oozing of the pains I can’t deny that I put her through.

She’s nearly as tall as I am. It’s probably due to the very high heels she’s putting on.

Closing her eyes, she takes in a deep breath and puffs it out before looking down. Then she walks past me, but not without grazing my shoulder with hers.

The rest of the group moves after her, including Christopher who refuses to look at me.
