Chapter 53. Do You Wish for Death, Zeath?
Mama Tia glances at me before pouring me a cup of tea. “Tea?” she asks in her ever calm voice.
But I’m already losing all the calmness in me. “Tell me that isn’t my wife’s.”
Mama Tia shrugs. “Take him to the glass room.”
Her men grab me me to the next room painted. The space is painted in white, feels chilly and smells like chemicals. And the only things in it are coffin-shaped boxes made with glass. Boxes that have unconscious people inside them.
The boxes in front of me bring me to the peak of my misery, as seeing Mellow and Eryis each lying in a box rumbles badly in my belly, their face pale; lips blue.
“They’re dead,” Mama Tia whispers behind me. I don’t care how old she is, or the fact that she’s my grandmother as I turn around and grab her by the collar. “You dare touch my family…” I growl to her face. However, it maddens me more that she’s unfazed by my anger.
