Chapter 47. Acting Cold

Lia had been staying at Edward's place for two weeks when she noticed something had changed and felt off. Never again did they see each other. When she woke up in the morning, Edward was already at work.

She waited for him at night, but whenever she asked Rose about her dad, Rose would tell her that her dad was probably sleeping, resting, or doing something else. Lia felt like Edward was getting farther away from her.

Lia tried to forget about it and pay more attention to their company and Juanito' jail time.

It was late, but Lia couldn't sleep because she couldn't suppress her excitement for the next few days.

After she filed five lawsuits against Juanito Carter, he was finally charged with three charges of theft in their company, as well as two counts of sexual assault and attempted homicide.

Juanito wouldn't be able to defend himself anymore, especially since his victims and witnesses would be there and fight against him.
