Darius’s POV

“Must be cool knowing what everyone is thinking before they even say it.” She tried to spin in another direction.

“Not everyone. For unknown reasons, I can’t hear my father and stepmother’s thoughts.”

“How many minds can you hear at once?”

“I can hear the whole castle. It’s as painful as my brain frying. I just tune them out and focus on a few.”
