Fallon’s POV

The dining hall fell silent. It was the first time I came since I woke up. Not caring that all eyes were on me, I walked into the hall while my eyes scanned around for the perfect seat. Ashley’s apologetic eyes met mine, but I barely gave her a glance before settling in at another table.

I barely sat down before everyone at the table dispersed. Good, I preferred having the place to myself.

After recovering from the shock of my arrival, the gossip began. The first ones came from the lovers’ side of the hall, and they were the loudest.

Ignoring it all, I began digging into my abandoned feast of food.

A loud round of laughter erupted from one of their tables. Like I had been doing for the past minutes, I paid no heed to it.
