Elena’s POV
Lilium candidium, the botanical name of white lily which is popularly known as the cemetery plant grew around the graveyard and blossomed into beautiful flowers which symbolized the innocence that has been restored to the soul of the departed.
The blossom opened as if each flower were a book — a book that was more sculpted divinely than written, the ink infusing into the petals to give them their soft glow while the flowers gave a subtle aromatic fragrance to the graveyard.
The moment the warlock made his appearance, their once beautiful petals curled at the edge from Lucindo’s black magic. Already their stalks are limp and when I bent to pick some up, their head withered with gravity towards the ground and they remained dry and dead. The dead petals could only symbolize something. Either Lucindo is toxic or he has a death aura surrounding him.
