Chapter 81

After Tom had called Lisa, she was left in shock, as she didn’t expect him to call her tonight neither while she was in the middle of something at work. She also didn’t expect him Emily to go missing. So, all she could do was replay the shocking call that changed her mood at work.

“Lisa, it’s Tom,” the voice on the phone said, Is Emily still at the hospital with you?”

She could hear the fear in Tom’s voice and it was almost like the fear got to her too.

Lisa’s eyes opened wide, as the shock hugged her body. “Uhmm... No, no. Emily left the hospital earlier this morning. What’s going on, Tom?”

A cold shiver crawled down Lisa’s spine. As she pictured what Tom, the man she loved might be going through in this type of situation. She couldn’t bear the thought of Emily being hurt or lost, the kind of pain it will bring to Tom and the dent it will cause in her relationship with him.
