Chapter 39
The sound of shattered glass drew her as she walked into the house, her eyes broadened in surprise as her eyes caught Robert standing firmly beside the table pouring himself a cup of tea, the smell of mint evaporated all over the room.
Robert turned to her, a smile on his face as he handed her a cup. “Good to see you again Merga,” he confessed with a smile still on his face.
Merga stood still in surprise, she looked at his body with massive eyes, shocked at how fast he was recovering more than ever. Slowly, she glanced up at him, his face was a bit brightened, unlike the last night, his weak eyes, stronger than before, and his smile so lovely that it made his appearance so stunning that a huge wave swept through Merga.
“You are getting stronger than I ever imagined,” she confessed, taking the cup from him. She looked at the cup with surprised eyes. “And you made tea, too. I never knew that a king would do such a thing.”
