Chapter 13. Stupid Boss

Chloe POV

Easton had already left the room to his office when I returned to my desk after placing the s'mores brownies in the fridge and drinking water. I shrugged my shoulders and returned to my desk to continue my work.

I was in the middle of arranging my boss' schedule for the following day when I heard him shout from inside his office. I frowned as my fingers became immobile while typing on the computer. I didn't see anyone enter his office, so I'm not sure who he was addressing in his shouting match.

Perhaps he fell asleep as a result of his exhaustion and woke up from a bad dream. Oh my, God! I hurriedly printed a copy of his schedule and dashed into his office, only to find his wife clinging to him on my way in.
