''According to my private investigator, he was faking it, and his parents are tolerating him because they discovered that Avery was an heir to a multi-million corporation from her grandfather, but only recently did they find out that the company had gone bankrupt. He learned about this after he'd made a marriage proposal to Avery.'' Easton added.

''Oh…'' Poor Avery. Jasper was just using her. ''Do you mean to say that Jasper's parents asked him to do it, and he willingly complied with their request?''

''Exactly…'' he nodded. ''But he could've just said no if he didn't want to do it.''

Jasper wanted it too. I finally understood the reason behind their presence in Worcester. After his proposal to Avery, the two of them came here for Jasper to meet her parents and grandfather, then talked about the wedding.
