I don’t think I can go in there dressed like this. For crying out loud, we’re not going to a fashion runway. In the first place, I didn’t want to come. But Nora wouldn’t stop pestering me. First, she made me agree. Second, I found myself agreeing to her wearing a skimpy dress. A shimmering long black dress with skinny straps. I don’t feel that comfortable in them. I bent over to the car to grab the jacket I came with, in case she snatched it away from me.

“That’s not necessary. Putting on this jacket will make you look like an old woman. Remember, this event is not just a normal event. You need to dress elegantly to match up with people.”
