I opened her door without knocking, not that I didn’t want to, it just happened, and as expected she didn’t flinch nor did she look up either.
Obviously, she had concluded me to be arrogant, carrying myself with some air of superiority, even in her space, but I just couldn’t help it. I was used to walking into rooms as though I owned them. Well, I did own this, but that wasn’t the point. I didn’t mean to upset or intrude on her space, and I could tell from the expression she had and the dismissive nod she gave, I knew she was displeased.
She was sitting close to the window, swallowed up in a sweatshirt I recognized to be mine. One I had left around lazily in the wardrobe, and honestly, I had no idea why that did something to me, but it sure as hell did.
