Chapter 22. Griffin’s Frustrations

Griffin’s POV

That whore! Seeing Evelyn out on a boat with that pathetic Nolan made me feel sick to the pit of my stomach. How could she leave me for him after everything I had done for her and that kid? But, on the positive side, it confirmed my suspicions that she was back at Mystic River and I now knew where she was hiding.

I had gone for a run and happened to see that boat across the lakes, my heart felt as if it were about to drop from my chest. I knew it was her straight away.

I wondered if Nolan knew about the child and how easy it would be to snatch him away from Mystic River. I was desperate to get his blood and learn more about his healing. The day that brat fell over in the garden and hurt his knee, and it healed so fast, I could not believe my eyes.
