“Tell me exactly what you found!” I barked at the scout, my wolf howling in rage within me. “Where did they go?”

He clumsily stepped back, clearly thawing under the intensity of my anger. “I—I don’t know, Alpha. We tracked Griffin up to the bus stop, but there was no sign of a struggle or any sign of Evelyn or Cady; it was like they had just vanished into thin air.

“Vanished, what? Are you sure? There is no way that my mate would leave me without a fight; she might have been mad at me, but she would not be able to outwit her brother.” I shook my head in confusion, trying to piece together the puzzle.

“Alpha Nolan, what if Griffin has gone back to the city? Before coming out here, our Alpha ordered some warriors to scour the local towns for any sign of him. Could he be hiding out there with the young child?”
