Evelyn’s POV
“You would destroy everything for your selfish ambitions,” I said, forcing every ounce of conviction I had into my words. “But all you will achieve is to turn every wolf in this land against you. You’re a fool, Cameron. A fool who thinks he can control what is meant to be free.”
In that moment of defiance, I caught a flicker in Cameron’s eyes—was it uncertainty?
“Foolish words from an omega,” he snapped back, though his voice lacked some of its earlier bite. He hesitated, and I felt a surge of determination.
“Come on, Evelyn. Let’s get out of here.” Griffin grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the exit.
