Chapter 82
Lyra’s POV
Golden morning light filtered through the curtains, bathing my face in a gentle, warming glow. I lay for a moment longer, savoring the soothing rays before easing my limbs into motion. Stretching my arms above my head, I swung my legs over the edge of the mattress and pushed myself up into a sitting position. My hair fell forward in loose waves as I blinked, adjusting to the brightness.
“Morning, sis,” came Sienna’s familiar voice.
The room was still blurry at the edges, and I blinked again, trying to place where she stood. Then she stepped into focus by the far wall, dressed casually in a sports top and matching briefs, her ponytail bobbing as she shifted her backpack.
“Morning, Sienna,” I returned, already sensing the energy she carried before she even spoke.
She slung her bag higher on her shoulders. “I’m off for morning exercises. Everyone’s going—except Valerie. She’s busy prepping the pool for today’s afternoon party.”
