Chapter 141

Sofia’s POV

“Thank you for tonight.”

I spoke to Sterling from across the table as we waited for our dessert to be brought out.

He had taken me to one of the Italian restaurants that I had come to love. We had a lovely meal but we weren’t ready to leave just yet. So he went ahead and got us a piece of cheesecake to split. It was my pick as it was the best-looking thing on the menu right now.

“You’re welcome, Love.” He shot me a smile.

“I’m always happy to bring you out and show you off.”

I couldn’t help but blush. “Oh stop.”

“Here you are, sir.” The waiter spoke as he set down the piece of cake.

We ate the cake together and decided it was time to call it a night. Sterling held my hand as he led the way to the car. We got inside and headed back for the mansion. I rested my head on Sterling’s shoulder as he placed his hand firmly on my thigh.

We arrived home soon after. The mansion was quiet as we went inside. Ida was watchin
