Chapter 100. Shocking Discovery
Avery’s POV
I suddenly shot up from my chair and started pacing around the library in my thoughts. Maybe I had expected too much and should have just enjoyed the thing I had with Ethan instead of boldly confessing my love. Right?
I come to a halt immediately, and the thought settles in my mind. But was it okay to hide the fact that I felt more for him? We were going to spend the next ten years together bound by the contract, if not more, and that’s until my late thirties. Was it really possible to hide the fact that I was in love with him?
The loud rumbling of my stomach brings me out of my thoughts, and that’s when I remember I have not eaten lunch. I suddenly became very hungry, and the only thoughts in my head were how to stuff my face with food. Ahh, at least I am not thinking about him. I return my drawing book and stationery to the shelves, where I usually keep them, before heading downstairs to the kitchen.
