Avery’s POV

I could hear the shock in her voice. “My help?”

“Yes, I need you to help search for a three-bedroom property not too far from the kindergarten.”

She laughs. “Are you pulling my legs? Your husband is the owner of the country’s top estates—”

“It’s for a foreign friend who needs something new. She feels I might spy on her if it’s owned by Kings Group.” I replied, the lie effortlessly rolling off my tongue.

“That’s ridiculous. Your friend lacks taste; no offense.” She giggles, and I am tempted to hang up on her.

“Can you do that or not?” I ask, trying to hide the desperation in my voice.

“When it comes to networking, you can count on me, madam. I have a long list of people who have real estate companies with reputable standards and experience close to Kings Group; your friend would be so happy.”

Relief floods me at her words. I knew she could.
