Chapter 102. Moving Out
Avery’s POV
“What? The truth hurts, I know.” I walk past him and reach to open the door. Instincts win over rationality, so I steal one glance at him, and I feel my chest squeeze with pain when I meet his eyes full of sadness and watch his shoulders slump in defeat.
Without a second thought, I shut the door, raced down to the bedroom, and brought out my suitcases. I enter the closet and start throwing the clothes I could place my hands on into the suitcase. I didn’t bother about folding or arranging them properly, that could be done later, but I need to be out of here.
In the blink of an eye, three large suitcases are filled, and I start to drag them downstairs. By the time, I drag them downstairs, my entire back is covered with sweat, but it doesn’t deter me.
“Lawrenta!” I called, ignoring the curious looks from some of the maids who stared wide eyed at me.
Lawrenta immediately appeared from behind. “Yes, madam—what are you doing?” She exclaims
