Chapter 110. I Hate You

Avery’s POV

“You bastard.” I cursed under my breath, incensed by his audacity. I turn back to my table, where everyone was watching with dropped jaws, and place a smile on my face before moving forward to sit on his lap.

I tried to ignore how my body desired to melt into his hard, muscled body that exuded warmth, but I couldn’t. So I shifted forward, leaning closer to his face, my senses assaulted by the masculine scent of his cologne and tobacco. I hated the small pang I felt when I realized he had been smoking again.

“You curse me yet you are seated on my laps, seducing me in front of everyone, huh?” Ethan whispers, his hand stroking the small of my back.

I realized with dismay that I missed his deep, velvety voice, which had a seductive effect on me.

“I have to get a contract signed today, so I might have to inconvenience you.” I said, trying to mask my emotions with indifference.
