Chapter 122. Nurse Samantha
Avery’s POV
“Wait!” I called, running in the same direction as her. I follow her into the restroom and find her hunched over the sink. Her blonde hair is no longer hidden in the cap and flows freely, covering her face.
“Camilla?”
A loud sob fills the air, and she falls weakly to the floor. I come out of my trance and run over to her.
“My baby is a mother now.” She cried. “I want to meet my children, my grandkids, my great-grandchild… I want to be in their lives!”
I furrow my brows when she mentions a great-grandchild, but I comfort her anyway. “Stop crying.”
She gives a heart-breaking sob. “I…I… I can’t.”
I felt my heart break as she continued to sob. I couldn’t imagine being in her position—unable to show up in front of my loved ones.
“I will make them meet you tomorrow.”
She looks up at me in shock, her face stained with tears. “You will?”
“Yes.”
She stands up and pulls me in for a hug. “Thank you!”
